5' round rugs are most commonly used in foyers as well as other bare or open areas.  They also go quite well in the center of larger bathrooms.  There are also round rugs closer to 6' in diameter but whose selection in the rug world is much more limited (in general, there is less selection of round shape rugs than there is of rectangular rugs).
